There are approximately 270 families presently living in this community, and just some of the activities these wonderful people are passionately involved in include, but are certainly lot limited to, a very popular Lawn Bowls Club with over 70 members, featuring notable champions and a thriving, good natured relationship with many other local clubs. A Variety Group, which is a very talented group of singers/comedians/dancers etc. There are a whole range of creative arty, crafty resident groups, with skilled people who provide tuition to those budding artists and people who wish to develop their art, craft and other creative skills, together with like-minded individuals, in a warm, welcoming and supportive environment

The resort boasts a very well set up and supervised workshop where the team of skilled tradesmen of the Workshop Committee, among many other activities, make lots of toys for less fortunate children and places where these types of toys are so appreciated. All residents are invited to participate in the workshop, and will discover a warm welcome from all who attend

At this point we hasten to add there are many highly skilled people, whether involved in committees or individually, who are only too willing to pass on their wisdom and skills to anyone with a will to learn or avail themselves of this huge pool of lifetime talents, not to mention a vast wealth of experiences in all facets of life

As well the Resort boasts a very active Social Committee, the Variety Group, the Residents Association, and the Shed Ministry (Share Him Every Day) which focuses on the spiritual as well as the practical day to day needs of the resort community as a whole

Claremont Resort Park Ridge has many common areas, notably a very large recreation hall, which boasts a large library/reading room, kitchen, snooker room, equipped gym room, dance floor, stage (for Variety group performances etc), and a huge auditorium. Close by are the heated 25metre pool & spa, 4 rink bowling green and BBQ areas

The village bus runs regularly to take our shoppers out, and many recreational bus trips are organized by the vibrant and busy Social Committee

Not found in many resorts/villages, is the fully fenced caravan/boat/trailer/camper storage compound, where Claremont residents can store their tow-able items away from their homes. This will appeal to the ever growing population of lovingly self-dubbed ‘Grey Nomads’. These happy, quasi-nomadic adventurers appear to subscribe to the oft quoted light-hearted motto, ‘Adventure before Dementia’

Single caravans, groups of 2, 3, 4, and even more are frequently waved farewell to, or welcomed back, as leave to or return from exploring many parts of Australia, and they all return to us with tales of their adventures and travels, people they have met, and sights they have seen

Claremont Resort Park Ridges’ Site Manager is there to keep a watchful eye over the resort, and to assist residents in various ways in matters relating to buying or building a home. The costs are very competitive and the actual steel piers & frame construction of each home, together with the stylish granosite exterior and Colourbond roof makes for a very solid long lasting well designed and spacious home that is supervised throughout the entire construction phase. All Claremont homes are built with display quality fittings throughout, the 2007 standard including European appliances in the kitchen. A Certificate of Final Completion from a building certifier is provided with each new home completed

The subtle difference with the Resort is, it is run under the Manufactured Homes Act as apposed to the Retirement Village Act. This difference makes ownership and resale a much easier proposition in several ways. Under MHA, there are no exit fees or deferred management fees, and the capital gain achieved in the home belongs to the Home-owner.

Claremont Home-Owners purchase the improvements to a site (house, fences, sheds etc) however do not purchase the land, therefore pensioners can apply to Centrelink for Rent Assistance, making the Resort Lifestyle even more affordable. Other seniors concessions are available to our residents, as is usual outside resort life in suburbia. Centrelink can advise the individual/s of the availability thereof, and your specific entitlements
